Today on Twitter, Matthew Hyland followed me. I was shocked👇

The only thing is, for some reason, it now has ‘_X’ at the end 😂 Otherwise, the accounts are completely identical, see for yourself:

The difference in name is minor, but there is a difference in the number of followers.

Last time I showed you that fake accounts can even have more followers than the real account and might have a blue checkmark. So be vigilant!

Why fake accounts are needed:

- distribution of fake links

- distribution of real, but promotional/referral links

- deception, fraud

- advertising something

- indicating your own website and stealing clients

These are just some options.

How to check

- official project websites often provide links to real social media accounts

- on Binance, the official website and social media accounts are indicated in the token information section.

If you are reading a certain account and are used to its appearance, you can easily miss a fake and automatically click on some link. That's what it's designed for. Therefore, if you plan to click on a link in social media, check (really every time) if the account is real.

Stay safe 🤗
