Circle Internet Financial, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, has filed for an initial public offering (IPO) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The company plans to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “CRCL.” 
In 2024, Circle reported a net income of $156 million on revenue of $1.68 billion, reflecting steady growth from the previous year’s $268 million net income on $1.45 billion revenue. 
The IPO is anticipated to launch by June 2025, with Circle seeking a valuation between $4 billion and $5 billion. Investment banks JPMorgan Chase and Citi are underwriting the offering. 
This move signifies a pivotal moment for the cryptocurrency industry, potentially reshaping the global stablecoin market and influencing crypto regulations.
