Ethereum Classic (ETC) – The original branch or "the forgotten child"?
Once sharing a home with ETH, now ETC lives a "far from home" life. Once proud of its immutability principle, who would have thought it would also become stagnant with its ecosystem. 😅
📜 The story began with the 2016 DAO hack:
ETH chose a hard fork to "restart its life".
ETC was determined to maintain the old blockchain, protecting the spirit of decentralization.
Result? ETH became the "king", while ETC still struggles to find its place.
💀 What about ETC now?
Still running on Proof of Work like in the beginning, but with weak hashrate, it has been attacked 51% many times.
There is no strong DeFi or NFT ecosystem, and developers are no longer enthusiastic.
Whenever ETH experiences changes, ETC is called out – but only to… pump & dump.
