#TrumpAtDAS What AI said about replacing the US dollar with bitcoin

As of today (March 2025), bitcoin is more of a "digital gold" — a means of saving and a speculative asset, rather than a full-fledged currency for everyday transactions. Its volatility (the price can fluctuate significantly) and slow transactions limit its use in the mass economy. Moreover, governments, including the US, actively regulate cryptocurrencies, which may hinder their widespread adoption.

On the other hand, if trust in the dollar begins to decline — for example, due to hyperinflation, a debt crisis, or geopolitical shifts — bitcoin could theoretically become an alternative. However, this would require mass adoption, improvements in infrastructure (such as network scalability), and possibly a weakening of the US position on the world stage.

My prediction: in the coming years, bitcoin will not completely replace the dollar. Most likely, they will coexist — the dollar as the primary currency, and bitcoin as a niche asset or reserve means.
