Raydium develops LaunchLab, fiercely competitive Solana memecoin

According to some sources, Raydium is urgently completing LaunchLab, a platform that allows users to easily create and trade memecoins, similar to Pump.fun - a name that has taken the Solana ecosystem by storm since the beginning of 2024.

This move comes after Pump.fun revealed plans to build an independent AMM, ending the listing of memecoins on Raydium for trading. Pump.fun's decision not only threatens a significant revenue source for Raydium but also pushes the DEX platform to "find its own path" in the face of fierce competition.

According to initial information, LaunchLab is designed with a bonding curve mechanism, which helps adjust supply, demand, and token prices flexibly. The difference lies in Raydium allowing third parties to integrate user interfaces (UI) and set their own fees while leveraging the AMM v4 pool - a standout solution of the exchange to ensure liquidity.

If realized, the emergence of LaunchLab is not only an effort for Raydium to regain its position but also a declaration of ambition in the Solana memecoin market.

Immediately after the information about LaunchLab was announced, the price of RAY token surged by 20%. Currently, RAY is priced at 1.85 USD. Trading volume increased by 156% to 221 million USD, indicating a positive response from the community.
