B Bitcoin retreats ahead of US monetary policy decision
Cryptocurrency traders are in a "cautious mood," say analysts at Saxo Bank in a note. Bitcoin is slightly retreating late Tuesday afternoon (18) as investors show caution ahead of the Federal Reserve's (Fed, the US central bank) monetary policy decision. The Fed began its two-day meeting on Tuesday and is expected to announce its decision on interest rates on Wednesday.
Around 3:55 PM (Brasilia time), Bitcoin was down 3.04%, priced at $81,477.06, while Ethereum fell 2.88%, trading at $1,881.29, according to Binance. According to analysts, the market widely expects the Fed to keep rates unchanged but will be attentive to any hints on whether the central bank will respond to recent concerns about US growth with additional rate cuts in the future$ETH
