In 2015, I first encountered the crypto world. At that time, Ethereum had just launched, with an issue price of only $0.31. Friends around me were talking about blockchain technology, and I was deeply attracted to this novel world, resolutely stepping into the crypto world. To have more time to study, I even took a security job, working during the day and studying at night.
During that time, I researched projects and analyzed market trends with my friends, and indeed made some money. Before 2017, the crypto market was thriving, and I even began to fantasize about a life of financial freedom. That was my first pot of gold in life and also the most passionate time I had for the crypto world.
A Slap in Reality: From Peak to Valley
However, on a certain day in 2017, the market suddenly crashed, dropping more than 30%, and the entire crypto market lost 80% of its value. Many projects collapsed, and I was no exception, losing everything. During that time, I stared at the candlestick charts every day, trying to find an opportunity to turn things around, but the more anxious I became, the more mistakes I made. I began to doubt whether I had chosen the wrong path, and at one point, I even thought about giving up.
The Light in the Low Point: Meeting Her
Fortunately, during my lowest point, I met her—my other half. She is also a player in the crypto world, but unlike me, she is more rational. She told me, "The crypto world is not a casino, but a field that requires logic and patience." With her companionship and encouragement, I gradually adjusted my mindset and began to seriously study market logic and the essence of projects.
We have gone through several rounds of bull and bear markets together. The most memorable was the bull market that rose from over $3,000 to more than $19,000, and we also experienced the bear market that fell from over $69,000 to more than $15,000. In this process, we not only earned a lot but, more importantly, I learned how to remain calm and rational in the market.
Financial Freedom and Traveling Across the Country
With the accumulation of wealth, we achieved financial freedom and started a life of traveling across the country. From south to north, from east to west, we traveled while continuing to pay attention to the dynamics of the crypto world. Although life became easier, we never stopped our research and exploration of the crypto world.
From the Crypto World to the Wedding World: A New Beginning
This year, we finally stepped into the halls of marriage. For us, marriage is not only the fulfillment of love but also the beginning of a new stage in life. I am no longer in the crypto world just to get rich; I truly understand the value of this technology and hope to contribute to its development.
