Jen Stark is comfortable on both the East and West Coasts of the United States and excels in various artistic mediums; just take a look at her Instagram page which supports this theory, as it is as vibrant, colorful, and energetic as her artworks and NFT collection - if you look closely, you'll find mathematical patterns throughout.
This Miami native, now based in Los Angeles, initially began her career with a paintbrush in hand, later turning various things like wood, metal, and NFTs into reality, bringing her artistic vision to life.
Her website describes her art as 'works that achieve a balance between visual temptation and perceptual engagement,' and just a glance at her piece 'Psychedelic Flicker' brings her description to life with its colorful, flickering shapes.
Here are three things about Stark's colorful and captivating NFTs.

Her first NFT helped her carve out a new path.
Jen Stark graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2005 and has been creating and exhibiting art ever since, but it wasn't until recent years, inspired by the rise of NFTs in 2021, that she began to expand her workflow to incorporate different mediums like technology.
Specifically, she attributes her growing curiosity about NFTs to her experience of moving internationally to Los Angeles during the pandemic, as these two experiences gave her more time to experiment.
In her first NFT (titled 'Multiverse'), Stark brought her iconic pattern-driven art style into a continuously looping digital animation.
She explained: 'This unique genesis work features a psychedelic zoo of multi-layered shapes, blossoming into a kaleidoscopic garden. The multiverse embodies the pulsation of natural energy throughout the universe while mimicking designs from the spiritual realm.'
Her artistic style has remained consistent throughout her career.
While Stark has used various tools to create art throughout her career, her artistic perspective and inspiration have remained consistent. Stark's greatest source of inspiration is nature, and when you see her psychedelic works, you might feel disconnected from nature, but as she explains, these patterns, shapes, and waves are directly drawn from the world around her.
She explained to Flaunt: 'I have always been inspired by nature, which is an important part of my work. I visually present the mathematical aspects of nature, as it is filled with various equations, like pi, that have spiral shapes and different cracks. The colors of nature also inspire me because they serve as lures or warnings; they either attract you to eat this delicious apple or tell you that this frog is poisonous, so don't eat it. I love the back-and-forth changes that nature brings us with color and spectrum.'
In (Vortex), Stark collaborated with the NFT art platform Art Blocks to bring a terrain-inspired series to life. This generative art series consists of 1,000 pieces, released in December 2021, with each NFT rotating in a kaleidoscopic way.
In an interview with Art Blocks, she shared that she transformed her early handmade paper cut sculptures into code similar to her original physical artworks, thereby creating NFTs.

She believes in the future of art and that generations will continue to push art forward.
Stark shared in an interview her love for open communication between artists and collectors, but she also realizes how important it is to filter out noise when pursuing creative passion.
When asked what advice she would give to other artists, she told Flaunt: 'I would say: Focus on what you love, keep working hard, and persevere. You will encounter enemies, and there will be people who tell you that you can't do what you want to do; people told me that, but I was stubborn, and I kept moving forward. Luckily, I didn't listen to them, I continued on my own path, kept following my joy, and ultimately, you will reap happiness.'
Since entering the NFT art space, Stark has released highly infectious series, such as her lively and smiley 'Cosmic Cuties' series released in 2022, which features 333 items themed around big eyes, smiling faces, and Stark's iconic undulating color patterns.
The same year Stark released the series, the art auction house Christie's included Stark's work ('Light Box #2') in its 'Trespassing III' auction in July 2022 and invited her to share her story as a speaker at Christie's Art + Tech Summit.
Regardless of the space or medium, Stark can bring color and light to any room, and her NFT series creates a more convenient entry point for experiencing the universe's nature anywhere.
