The ruble is unlikely to strengthen "much more" than it is now, said VTB head Andrey Kostin to journalists. This was reported by the Interfax agency.
"I don't know, I think it shouldn't strengthen much more," Kostin said in response to journalists' questions about how far the ruble might strengthen within the prevailing trend in the currency market in recent months.
On Tuesday, the dollar exchange rate on the international Forex market fell below 81 rubles for the first time since May 2023, reaching a minimum of 80.85 rubles.
As of 13:41 Moscow time, the USDRUB pair was trading at 81.49 rubles, down 2.34% since the beginning of the session.
