Ethereum to launch "Hoodi" testnet for Pectra upgrade testing

#Ethereum $ETH will introduce a new testnet, Hoodi, on March 17 to support research for the upcoming #Pectra upgrade. The decision follows issues with the Holesky #testnet , which lost finality due to a configuration bug during Pectra activation.

#Hoodi will provide a dedicated environment to test validator exits, an issue that #Holesky cannot currently accommodate. The Pectra upgrade aims to enhance Ethereum’s scalability and efficiency, with potential #mainnet activation as early as April 25.
