BNB (Binance Coin) is the native cryptocurrency of the Binance exchange, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency platforms. Initially launched as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain in 2017, BNB later migrated to Binance's own blockchain, Binance Chain. It is used for various purposes, such as paying transaction fees on the Binance exchange, participating in token sales on Binance Launchpad, and even for online purchases with supported merchants. Over time, BNB’s use has expanded to decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. Its utility, combined with regular token burns, contributes to its value and scarcity.
