Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection. From dawn to sunset, Muslims abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs, focusing on spiritual growth, self-discipline, and empathy for the less fortunate. The pre-dawn meal is called Suhoor, and the fast is broken at sunset with Iftar, often starting with dates and water. Special nightly prayers, Taraweeh, are held in mosques. The Quran was revealed during Ramadan, and the Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr) in the last 10 nights is especially sacred. Ramadan ends with Eid al-Fitr, a joyous celebration marked by feasting, charity, and community gatherings. It’s a time of unity, gratitude, and renewal of faith. 🌙✨
