I don't understand what is the purpose of having thousands of Altcoins when all they do is follow BTC.

When a new coin is launched, it has it's own path for a few months and then becomes dependent on BTC.

The developers don't seem to have any long-term plans for their coins and just hope that BTC does well so that to their coin can also do well.

Same story with almost every coin.

In my opinion, instead of having thousands of altcoins there should be very limited number of coins and each coin should have their own path independent of BTC and a long-term plan.

What are your thoughts...???
