J.P. Morgan released a research report stating it maintains an overweight rating on MicroPort Scientific Corporation (00853.HK), raising the target price from 8 HKD to 10 HKD. The bank reiterated its positive outlook on MicroPort, describing the group as a diversified local leader in the small and medium-sized medical technology (SMID) sector, with strong innovation capabilities and overseas market expansion ability, and expects it to turn profitable by 2026; it also stated that the group remains its preferred choice in the SMID medical technology sector. Morgan Stanley noted that MicroPort Robotics (02252.HK) has a strong order trend, which is an important subsidiary of MicroPort. It is expected that due to the rapid expansion of robot installations in China and overseas, the former's contribution to the group's sales will rise from about 3% in 2024 to about 40% in 2033.
