Bitcoin whale Michael Saylor has proposed a shocking $100 trillion cryptocurrency strategy, suggesting that the U.S. government acquire 25% of the global Bitcoin supply over the next decade, bluntly stating: "I would rather sell a kidney than not hold Bitcoin, to establish a strategic reserve."
The key is that he has also prepared a detailed proposal. The proposal states that between 2025 and 2035, the U.S. government should buy a little Bitcoin every day, totaling 5% - 25% of the Bitcoin supply (by then, 99% of Bitcoin will have been issued). Saylor believes that if the U.S. establishes a good regulatory framework, eliminates barriers to innovation, and acquires Bitcoin, it could create up to $100 trillion in economic value over the next decade.
The Bitcoin strategic reserve is the core component of this plan. Saylor urged Trump and others to adopt a policy of "never selling Bitcoin"; by 2045, this reserve could generate a tremendous amount of returns, helping the U.S. reduce its debt. If the U.S. operates according to this plan, it would hold 5.25 million Bitcoins, which is much more than the amount proposed by the senators.
