BNB (Binance Coin) is the native cryptocurrency of the Binance exchange, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency platforms. Originally launched as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, BNB now operates on Binance’s own blockchain, Binance Chain. BNB was designed to help users pay for trading fees on Binance at a discounted rate, but its use has expanded to include payments for transaction fees, staking, and even in decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. It’s also used within Binance's ecosystem for various purposes like token sales and as collateral for loans.
