On Sunday, many people online expressed worry that a Bitcoin reserve could be funded with taxpayer dollars, effectively transferring money from everyday Americans to crypto millionaires and billionaires. Trump’s crypto czar David Sacks, however, batted down this idea on X on Monday, writing: “Nobody announced a tax or a spending program.
