Dolce & Gabbana's digital suit is fragmented on Base
Italian luxury fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana is turning its semi-transparent, gem-studded tailcoat Glass Suit into fragmented NFTs on the Base Ethereum L2 blockchain developed by Coinbase.
This suit was originally auctioned in 2021 as part of Dolce & Gabbana's first NFT series 'Collezione Genesi' and was reportedly sold for $1 million to the decentralized commerce platform Boson Protocol.
The auction items include a physical suit that supposedly took 8 months to create, as well as a digital version minted as an Ethereum NFT.
Fermion Protocol is a new tokenization platform founded by Boson co-founder Justin Banon, currently splitting NFTs to expand ownership to more collectors.
To commemorate this release, Fermion will transfer fragments of the Glass Suit to selected web3 communities, and interested collectors can register on the Fermion website for updates.

Illuvium changes strategy as Overworld shifts to MMO-lite
Illuvium is a blockchain game studio known for its sci-fi fantasy world, currently restructuring its business. The team is transforming its open-world creature-collecting RPG Overworld into an MMO-lite format.
This decision aims to simplify gameplay while making it easier for new players to get started. Reportedly, Illuvium plans to focus on the new structure of Overworld starting mid-year after completing planned updates for the PvP mode in the auto-battle game Arena in the second quarter.

Yuga Labs fully invests in Otherside, closing Dookey Dash
Bored Ape Yacht Club developer Yuga Labs announced they will fully invest in the Otherside metaverse. As part of this shift, the fast-paced endless runner game Dookey Dash, launched in 2023, will close on February 28.
Co-founder Greg Solana stated that the game began as a casual experiment but has gradually evolved into a competitive web3 experience, and it will return in a new form once the persistent world of Otherside launches in June 2025.

Pudgy Penguins adds Solana Pay and $PENGU payment on Shopify
Pudgy Penguins has added Solana Pay to its Shopify store, allowing users to purchase items at the official Pudgy Penguins store and Igloo Clothing using $PENGU and other Solana tokens.

Nifty Island's AI agents are now live
Nifty Island is an open-world multi-chain social game that activates AI agents that players can use both in and out of the game. The agents remember past interactions by reading and writing data from third-party sources, so they don't start from scratch in every session, making gameplay more engaging and dynamic while keeping players alert.
According to the announcement, players can create intelligent NPCs with distinct storylines and personalities, or deploy agents to complete tasks, chat with others, and maintain things while they're offline.
Agents can also operate on other social platforms, allowing players to set them up for interaction across different platforms.
Nifty Island states that they are rolling out more updates to make AI agents more useful.

Pudgy Penguins original artist Antoine Mingo leads the new project 'Burrrs'
The original illustrator of Pudgy Penguins, Antoine Mingo, will launch a new NFT series called 'Burrs' on Berachain, a Layer 1 blockchain designed to be the same as Ethereum.
The series introduces a brand new set of characters whose DNA embodies the iconic style that made Pudgy Penguins so popular.
The next steps for the project may involve 3D printing and a roadmap that includes real-world fashion and collectibles.

SuperGaming partners with B3 to launch a dedicated gaming chain
Indian game developer SuperGaming is launching its own blockchain-based gaming chain on B3, a game-centric Layer 3 network built on Base.
This move brings SuperGaming's popular mobile games (including MaskGun and Indus) to the blockchain while maintaining a simplified and interconnected gaming experience.
Reportedly, B3's ecosystem has processed over 200 million transactions and connected 6 million wallets.
Anime.com hosts (Entering the Garden: Broken Reflections) premiere party
Anime.com is a digital platform under the web3 comic brand Azuki, which announced a premiere screening of (Entering the Garden: Broken Reflections) on February 27 at 6 PM Pacific Time.
The episode is part of Azuki's original animation anthology, directed by Japanese animator Yukio Takatsu and produced by Gorō Taniguchi.
The story revolves around two sisters, Shao and Raizan, who grew up in an alley. Raizan's mysterious disappearance prompts Shao to start searching for her sister, leading her to the ethereal world of the garden.
Fans can participate in events by creating an account on Anime, where they can customize their avatars and use digital stickers in live chat. After the premiere, the episode will be available on the Azuki YouTube channel on demand.
