#Citibank mistakenly transferred $81 trillion to the client instead of $280 — the operation was approved by two employees: a payment department worker and a person responsible for checking transactions before processing them.
Only after an hour and a half did a third employee identify the error — he discovered the problem by reviewing the balance data on the bank's accounts. A few hours later, the transfer was canceled.
