#BybitForensics FBI asks node operators, exchanges to block transactions tied to Bybit hackers .

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation has urged crypto node operators , exchanges and the private sector to block transactions from addresses used to launder funds from the $1.4 billion Bybit hack.

The FBI confirmed earlier industry investigation that North Korea was responsible for the hack, which the US law enforcement agency dubbed as "Trader Traitor" in a Feb,26 public service announcement.

The FBI noted in an April 2022 statement that "Trader Traitor " is commonly referred to in the industry as the LAZARUS GROUP , APT38, BlueNoroff and Stardust Chollima.

The Bybit hackers have already laundered more than 135,000 Ether since the Feb.21 incident -which comprised mostly liquid -stake Ether tokens, pseudonymous crypto analyst EmberCN noted in a Feb.26 X post.

Another 363,900 Ether, worth around $825 million ,has remained untouched since the hack.
