Lazarus Group, a suspected North Korean hacking group, has launched a meme coin called QinShihuang to launder $26 million stolen from Bybit ¹. They used the Pump.fun platform to launch and trade the meme coin.
According to ZachXBT investigators, Lazarus Group has used multiple wallet addresses to launder money, including addresses associated with previous meme coin scams ². They have also used the eXch platform to launder money and convert it into other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Monero.
Pump.fun has removed meme coins associated with Lazarus Group from their platform ³. However, this has not stopped Lazarus Group from continuing to launder money and engage in other illegal activities.
