#BybitSecurityBreach Several teams of blockchain security experts have assessed the situation around the Bybit exchange hack. They said that they are actively monitoring the actions of the criminals who attacked the platform. For example, analysts from Beosin said that their team recorded the transfer of 5,000 stolen #ETH from the criminals' wallet to another distribution address. After that, the virtual funds were sent to many storages in small amounts from tens to hundreds of ETH.@Cryptoland_8

According to Beosin experts, they have recorded transactions that turned out to be an attempt to move from one chain to another via the eXch mixer. In addition, the criminals resorted to the Chainflip service to transfer assets to #bitcoin . This indicates the desire of the attackers to hide the true route of digital funds. The transfers are made in order to complicate the tracking and analysis of the movement of virtual currencies.

Experts reported another curious transaction. They noted a transfer of 56.68 $ETH sent to a blacklisted address marked as Phemex Hacker in the Beosin database. This fact links the incident with an attack carried out by the Lazarus Group, which previously hacked the crypto exchange of the same name and stole $85 million. Analysis shows similarities in methods with incidents on other trading platforms, including the Indian WazirX.

In the case of Phemex, the funds were laundered through the Tornado Cash service. Beosin said it would be able to track the movement of assets if they were moved through Tornado Cash in the Bybit incident. Such measures could help recover some of the stolen funds or identify the hidden addresses of the attackers.

According to SoSoValue and TenArmor, over $4 billion in digital assets have entered the Bybit platform in the past 12 hours. This includes 63,168.08 ETH, $3.15 billion USDT, $173 million $USDC and $525 million CUSD. Most of the transactions were from Bybit's cold wallets to hot wallets for withdrawals and collateral for "bridge loans" from third-party partners.#BybitNews
