As of now, there has been no officially approved Litecoin ETF in the US, but the approval process continues. The SEC has acknowledged submissions, such as the Canary Capital application, and is on a deadline to make a decision. Analysts, including Eric Balchunas and James Seyffart from Bloomberg, have estimated a very high likelihood—around 90%—that a Litecoin ETF will be approved by the end of 2025. This optimism stems from the regulatory clarity surrounding Litecoin: Litecoin uses a proof-of-work mechanism like Bitcoin, and the SEC has not classified it as a security (unlike XRP or Solana), which could potentially smooth its path to approval.
