As you all know Bybit, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has suffered a massive hack, resulting in the loss of $1.5 billion in digital assets. This incident is now considered one of the largest crypto heists in history.
The breach targeted Bybit’s cold wallet, which is an offline storage solution intended for enhanced security. The stolen funds, mainly in Ethereum, were swiftly moved to multiple wallets and liquidated across various platforms.
“Please rest assured that all other cold wallets are secure,” stated Bybit CEO Ben Zhou on X. “All withdrawals are NORMAL.”
