Scammers Impersonating BINANCE 😮
The largest bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrency exchange in the world, Binance, has alerted about the rise of a new type of scam involving cryptoassets that is affecting the emerging ecosystem, known as the “seed phrase sharing” scam.
According to the exchange, this scam “has been sweeping through the cryptocurrency world recently.”
It is reported that scammers operate by posing as cryptocurrency professionals and Binance staff to urge victims to import a new seed phrase to set up a wallet and transfer their assets to this wallet. Afterwards, the scammers empty the new wallet and disappear without a trace.
