The Pi Network development team has just announced that the deadline to complete KYC verification and transfer Pi to the Mainnet is February 28, 2025. Previously, the deadline was set for January 31, 2025, but was extended by one month to allow users to protect their Pi.
Importantly, this extension does not affect the planned launch of the Open Network, which is scheduled for Q1 2025. This means that the Open Network could be deployed before or after February 28, but the extension allows users more time to complete the necessary steps.
If you do not complete KYC and transfer Pi to Mainnet before February 28, 2025, users may lose a significant portion of their Pi balance. Only Pi mined within six months prior to the conversion will be retained; older Pi will be lost.
The development team emphasizes: "With multiple extensions provided, we strongly recommend you act now to protect your entire Pi balance."
Instructions to complete KYC and transfer Pi to Mainnet:
1. Open the Pi Network app on your device.
2. Click on 'Mainnet Checklist' at the top of the screen.
3. Follow the guided steps to complete the KYC process and transfer Pi to Mainnet.
Please ensure you complete the above steps before February 28, 2025, to protect your Pi balance.
