Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa, former president of FC Porto, has passed away. He was the most decorated sports executive in the world and held the longest tenure as the leader of a football club. Until the end, he dedicated over 40 years to Futebol Clube do Porto. After a three-year battle with cancer, he died this Saturday at the age of 87.
A life of passions filled with achievements During 42 years as president of FC Porto, he secured 69 titles with the professional football team. In total, more than 2,500 trophies were won across various sports. This makes him the football president with the most titles won.
It is worth noting that under Pinto da Costa's leadership, the Porto Fan Tokens were created. Rest in peace. 🕊️🐉
