The creation of a strategic bitcoin reserve would first need to be approved by the United States Congress. A bill on the subject has already been sent to Congress by a senator from Trump's party, but is in the early stages of analysis.

According to the proposal, the country's government would purchase 200,000 units of the cryptocurrency in the five years following the approval of the proposal, resulting in a reserve of 1 million units. The value exceeds US$76,794,291,683,80 billion, considering the current price of the asset.
