Tether launched USDT on Bitcoin and Lightning! 🔵
At the Plan ₿ forum in El Salvador, Tether announced the launch of USDT on the Bitcoin blockchain and its second layer — Lightning Network, thanks to Taproot Assets technology.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that this is a step towards convenient payments and transfers. Lightning Labs notes that the stablecoin combines the security of $BTC and the speed of Lightning.
Previously, USDT was issued on Ethereum, Tron, Solana, and now it is coming to the Bitcoin ecosystem.
