Crypto scammers are reaching a new level:
The story of divorce in telegrams (on the topic of crypt) is not new, and there is hardly a person who has not heard of such cases. And each of these people is sure that it will certainly not be possible to “scam” (deceive/deceive) him. But as popular wisdom says: for every cunning ass there is a bolt with a reverse thread (or something like that...).
Scammers (fraudsters) do not stand still. If previously it was enough to clumsily sell “signals” or take crypto into trust management (trust management), now everything has become much more delicate:
1️⃣ The scammer creates a channel (or buys an existing one) and publishes crypto news or something similar (harmless) for some time, simultaneously advertising his channel and gaining an audience.
2️⃣ Next comes the time for analytics. The scammer publishes quite good analytical posts about the purchase and sale of certain coins. It may even show real results. If you choose the right moment in time (when the market is rising), then almost any purchase will be profitable. At the same time, he explains some basic things: about diversification, risk management, stop losses, etc. Continuing to gain an audience through advertising + increasing your reputation among the already recruited audience.
This process may well last for more than one month; I have seen channels that for more than 1 year laid the groundwork for a future scam.
The biggest problem is that at this stage such channels do not raise any concerns either among the audience or those who advertise them. After all, they have nothing that can alert you: no other advertising, no paid signals, no remote control or closed chats, paid training, etc. Everything is as clean as possible.
3️⃣ When a certain critical mass of the audience has been reached and is waiting for new useful information, warming up begins:
The scammer first reports that he will soon share another investment idea that he plans to apply. And since most of these messages have already proven successful over the course of months, the audience is not confused by anything.
And now the first post is published about a new promising coin. Her “analytics” and thought say: you can add a coin to your portfolio for a small amount of 3-5%.
After a while, there was supposedly (!) news that the project was developing and large funds and exchanges were already interested in the coin. And we found out about her before anyone else. That's luck. I need to buy more. Next comes fake news with screenshots about the partnership between this coin and top platforms. Binance is planning to list the coin one of these days. Elon Musk is also buying, as are other cool people and exchanges. All this is accompanied by plausible screenshots (drawn in Photoshop), almost no one will check it anyway.
Then the heating continues. And now the author of the channel (scammer) allegedly buys this “miracle coin” for a large amount: 300-500 BNB... Why BNB? Well, because the coin is currently traded on Pancake Swap (a decentralized platform) and only on the BSC network (it’s apparently easier to write a scam smart contract there, commissions are lower).
In parallel with “their purchases,” there are posts that the first exchange has already listed the coin, the second... The price on the swap has already made 3...5...10 x and continues to grow. Tomorrow Binance itself is about to be listed. And there’s already x100, sure enough.
People go to a defi swap or some No-name exchange and see that the token is really growing without rollbacks. Really X's already. And the author of the channel buys more and more every day, he has already decided to sell all his BTC and ETH and go for the whole cutlet. According to him, this will be the best deal of the year! His common sense and thoughts about diversification have already disappeared somewhere. Well, okay, maybe this is really a 1 in a million chance. Rip x100 (or even more).
4️⃣ Warming up has already entered the active phase. Already all the posts are only about this token (which has grown tens of times over these few days. And this is just the beginning. There is still an opportunity for everyone to jump in). Careful instructions on “how to buy this token” are included in every post. There are no more analytics or other useful information... The new post boils down to the fact that the author (scammer) has also purchased this token. And he’s about to buy the whole cutlet. Millions of dollars. Screenshots are attached.
5️⃣ The feeling of FOMO begins to take its toll and now the subscriber thinks: damn, well, you can really make money. He deposits (according to the instructions) the first $100 and after half a day he sees that he has $150 in his account...the coin is growing. You can buy another $500... Or $1000 right away... And there are those who are ready to play big: $50,000, why not? It’s really “possible” to raise millions.
True, only a few are trying to sell the token, at least right away. And they begin to make attempts to sell this token only when they have already purchased in full and the numbers on the account have made several X’s. But here's the bummer: the token is not for sale. Some error keeps popping up. What's happened?
What happened is that this token is programmed in such a way that you can buy it (for real crypto), but you cannot sell it. No way. Only if you are not on the “white sheet” (as the owner of the channel and also the creator of this token).
That's all. We've arrived. The money can no longer be returned. This is a DeFi platform. You don't even need any verification here. Everything is anonymous. And the deals cannot be returned to the backside.
Next, the author (scammer) milks his audience until victory: many have already noticed the scam, but cannot write (comments are closed). People are actively unsubscribing, but there are still those who do not understand what is happening and continue to buy the miracle token that is about to be on Binance. No, it will not.
Then the scammer displays the real crypt (BNB/USDT) that he received from the sale of this token, the coins go to mixers, and then the white coins are withdrawn to wallets and exchanges and cashed out.
The profit from such a scheme can range from several hundred thousand dollars to several million (if wealthy hamsters bite). And it turns out that several months of preparation were not wasted. And after a while, the scheme can be repeated by creating a new channel and changing the name to something equally cool and mysterious.
Moral: if you notice a sharp change in the “rhetoric” of a person you follow (this could be a blogger, trader, etc.) and he begins, first softly, and then very actively, to talk about (and praise) some coin or project , showing with all your appearance that “you need to buy as soon as possible and preferably with all the money” - most likely you fell for the deception scheme described above. Moreover, this can be either a targeted SCAM or a regular hacking of the channel of some person who has nothing to do with what is happening. And there is only one defense against such attacks - to always remain vigilant, no matter how much you trust this or that person.
Take care of your money)
