The U.S. Digital Service (USDS) will be renamed the U.S. DOGE Service and will be established within the Executive Office of the President.
Trump signed an executive order to make Musk's DOGE committee more formal. The executive order requires the heads of U.S. agencies to consult with the USDS within 30 days to form a "DOGE team" consisting of "at least" four employees within their agencies. According to the executive order, the team typically includes a DOGE team leader, engineers, human resources experts and lawyers, and works with the U.S. Department of Defense and their agencies to implement Trump's DOGE plan.
