“The official Melania meme is live! You can buy $MELANIA now,” she announced Sunday on X (formerly Twitter). According to the coin’s website, it is built and tracked on the Solana blockchain, just like $TRUMP. Both tokens have seen wild price swings in their early days on the market, with disclaimers on each website warning that they are “not intended to be or be the subject of any investment.”
For a woman who is about to become the First Lady of the United States, Melania is wasting no time in the spotlight. Cryptocurrency watchers say the combined market valuations of $TRUMP and $MELANIA exceed $13.7 billion — with $MELANIA alone worth around $1.7 billion at last count, according to CoinMarketCap.
