In the investment market, a common issue for retail investors is losing money without stopping losses and being afraid to take profits. Remember, the most important four words in investing are: follow the trend. Don't short the market during corrections, and don't use leverage, as that only brings trouble to yourself. The market's trend is the collective expectation of all investors; do not impose your personal will on the market.
Many people focus too much on the win rate of trades, but the core of a profitable system lies in its profitability, not the win rate. Be patient and wait for your opportunity; do not get envious when others earn a few points, as you cannot see the losses they incur. Not all bullish candles in the market can lead to profits, and you won't always be able to seize opportunities during every rise. A truly good hunter is never in a rush; opportunities are earned through waiting.
Additionally, the secondary market is not just about 'buying, buying, buying.' Closing positions, reducing positions, and holding cash are all parts of trading. The biggest enemy for retail investors is often their own greed and fear; there aren’t that many major players and manipulators in the market, so focus on your own trades and proceed steadily.
Remember, 70% of people lose money; this is not an isolated phenomenon. Getting rich quickly may not have much to do with you or me; stay rational and respect the market to stand firm in front of it. Controlling risk is more important than gaining profits; do not let emotions affect your positions too much. The most severe losses often come from the trades you are most confident in. There is a long way to go between knowing and doing, and this requires time and practice.
