🎂Bitcoin recently celebrated its 16th anniversary. Launched on 3 January 2009, it has been running almost perfectly ever since.
🍀There were a couple of very brief occasions in Bitcoin’s early history when the network experienced problems and needed to be fixed. (The last was in 2013 for just a few hours.)
🍀Overall, the Bitcoin Protocol has experienced 99.989% uptime. That’s a LOT better than any bank or conventional payment processor.
