PIX warning

Nubank now warns about Pix for betting houses

Nubank is testing a tool that gives customers the option to save money in “banks” instead of sending it to betting houses. In a statement to TecMundo, the financial company confirmed the news.

When trying to send a Pix to a key normally used by betting houses, the user receives a warning in the app: “how about saving this money?”.

A complementary text informs that “some of these games are legalized in Brazil, but there are no guarantees of winning”. “By saving this money instead of betting, you can be sure that it will yield results without worrying”, says another part of the warning.

Nubank did not explain when the tests began or which customer base is receiving the information.

Although some people receive the information in the app, there is no impediment to making transfers to betting houses or so-called bets.

Other side

Despite having confirmed the tests, Nubank did not provide further details about the case. The company did not respond about the objectives and until when the alert tests will last, for example.

“At Nubank, we are always looking for opportunities to improve the experience of our customers. We frequently test new products and solutions for a small portion of the user base. Any news or updates will be shared at the appropriate time”, says the full note from the financial company.
