US Crypto Fraudster Pastor Faces 20 Years in Prison
A US pastor is facing 20 years in prison for crypto fraud. Francie Obando Pinillo is accused of running a crypto scam that caused losses estimated at millions of dollars.
The 51-year-old used his position to attract investors to his crypto business called Solano Fi. He claimed that the idea for the platform came to him in a dream and promised a guaranteed return of 34.9% per month through staking, with no risk.
The scam ran from November 2021 to October 2023.
