Starting January 1, 2025, the Federal Revenue Service will increase its monitoring of financial transactions carried out via Pix, credit cards and other financial operations. Financial and payment institutions, including digital banks, will be required to report financial transactions when the monthly amounts exceed:
R$5,000.00 for individuals;
R$ 15,000.00 for legal entities.
This information must be sent to the Federal Revenue Service through the e-Financeira platform, as part of the Public Digital Accounting System (Sped), with the aim of combating tax evasion and increasing control over financial transactions.
The regulation was established by RFB Normative Instruction No. 2,219, of September 17, 2024. Data must be reported every six months, until the last business day of August and February of each year.
