Many people say @Stepnofficial is already over, that the shoes won't rise again, and even question whether the FSL team has failed again.

As a user who deeply participated in STEPNGO since the end of June, I have some different views that I hope to share with everyone through this article.

The growth trajectory of STEPNGO

STEPNGO officially launched in July, and I have been deeply involved since its inception, witnessing its development firsthand. From the launch of $GGT reaching a peak of 25U, now falling to 0.5U, and the floor price of shoes dropping from 2000U per pair to now 230U, the market fluctuations have indeed left many investors feeling disappointed. But is the problem really as simple as 'cutting leeks'?

The real reasons behind market fluctuations

1️⃣ The initial market frenzy and overvaluation

Any new project, especially those in the Web3 and GameFi sectors, will initially accompany a high market frenzy. The 25U and 2000U floor prices of GGT are largely due to overestimated market expectations, attracting speculative funds to flood in. Rapid price increases that cannot be sustained are not unique to STEPNGO; almost every popular project will experience this.

2️⃣ Market adjustments are normal phenomena.

The market rules of Web3 dictate that early price fluctuations are often very severe. Once market enthusiasm declines, prices adjust accordingly, which is a healthy correction rather than a project failure. STEPNGO's gradual cooling over the past six months has instead provided long-term users with a more cost-effective entry opportunity.

3️⃣ Changes in user mentality

Many players who entered at high points indeed feel cut off due to price declines. But from another perspective, behind market fluctuations, what truly determines player profits is how the game mechanics are utilized rather than relying solely on speculation.

Is STEPNGO really 'cooling down' now?

From the project's perspective, the value of STEPNGO should not be measured solely by token prices or shoe prices.

The following aspects may be more worthy of attention:

1️⃣ Continuous investment from the project team

The FSL team has not stopped updates due to the decline in market enthusiasm, but continues to optimize features and expand the ecosystem. A true Web3 project focuses not on short-term gains, but on long-term sustainable development.

2️⃣ The sedimentation of user communities

Although price fluctuations have caused some speculators to exit, users who truly love the Move-to-Earn gameplay are still persevering. The retention of these core users lays a solid foundation for the project's future.

3️⃣ The rationalization of shoe prices

From 2000U to 230U, it seems like a crash, but in reality, it is a more friendly entry opportunity for new players. Lower entry costs help attract more users, thereby expanding the ecosystem.

My insights from six months of participation

I admit that during my six months of participation in STEPNGO, I also experienced emotional fluctuations. But more importantly, I have the following insights after deep involvement:

1️⃣ Speculators will eventually exit, but the core value of the project remains.

STEPNGO is not maintained by hype and price manipulation, but is continuously expanding the boundaries of Move-to-Earn.

2️⃣ A long-term mindset is essential when viewing Web3 projects.

If you only focus on short-term price fluctuations, you will miss out on real opportunities.

3️⃣ The market's cooling period is often a good time for positioning.

When everyone is shouting 'it's over,' perhaps it's time to reassess it.

Written at the end

@Stepnofficial's story is far from over. Market cooling does not indicate failure, but is a norm in the development process of Web3 projects. STEPNGO has indeed experienced peaks and valleys over the past six months, but this is a challenge that any emerging sector must face.

As for the future, I believe the real answer needs time to prove.

I will continue to pay attention to STEPNGO because its innovative gameplay and long-term value still fill me with anticipation.
