Axelar Co-Founder: Ripple’s RLUSD Will Drive XRP Demand by 2025
Georgios Vlachos, Co-Founder of Axelar (AXL), predicts that Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD will significantly boost XRP demand by 2025.
According to Vlachos, RLUSD transactions will be processed on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and the XRP-EVM sidechain, increasing XRP’s usage as transaction fees.
“Every time someone makes a transfer, the fee is paid in XRP,” Vlachos explained. “This benefits XRP holders as some XRP will be burned with every transaction.”
For context, RLUSD is a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar and backed by cash reserves and short-term financial instruments, making it a secure digital currency for everyday transactions.
