Will the airdrop explode? Is it still time to catch the last train?
First, the airdrop projects in the first half of the year have really let us down! Projects with high FDV and low circulation have seen project teams wildly dumping their tokens, leading to a plethora of worthless coins that peaked upon listing; I won’t name names. As a result, everyone has abandoned VC projects in favor of fairer meme coins, and if VC projects continue to be so shameless, no one will want to play anymore.
Second, with liquidity being loosened, the market has gained more support, allowing project teams to release more circulation at TGE and strengthen community and ecosystem building. For example, Bluefin allocated 52% of its tokens for ecosystem growth. This has led to substantial rewards from airdrops, and many retail investors see that the project team is working hard and that the bull market is on, reducing the desire to sell off. High percentage airdrops (like Hyperliquid's 31%) attract users; many know that Hyper no longer has airdrop opportunities but still flock to use the protocol, seemingly anticipating something.
