Turkey's antitrust regulator has fined Google 2.61 billion lira ($75 million) for abusing its dominant position in the advertising placement services market, Bloomberg reports citing the regulator's statement.

The antitrust authority stated that Google favored its own supply-side platform (SSP) service over competitors, making it difficult for them to operate.

Google must align its operations with the legislation within six months and provide third-party SSPs with similar conditions that apply to its own services, the regulator added.
