This new integration is part of Coinbase Onramp, following Coinbase's ongoing efforts to make it easier for mainstream users to access cryptocurrencies by providing app makers a way to allow customers to convert fiat currency to cryptocurrency with minimal hassle.

RTFKT announces a new chapter

RTFKT, a web3 studio known for Nike-supported metaverse shoes, announced plans to cease operations by the end of January 2025.

The company emphasized its tradition of developing innovative virtual fashion projects over the past three years, such as the Clone X avatar series created in collaboration with Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami (worn by basketball legend LeBron James).

Before concluding, RTFKT will update its website to showcase its projects and commemorate the innovative spirit of numerous creators who participated in its releases since its launch in 2021.

Seedphrase uses CryptoPunk #8348 as collateral for a $2.75 million loan

Famous art collector and web3 celebrity Seedphrase obtained a $2.75 million loan using his personal CryptoPunk profile picture (PFP). CryptoPunk #8348 is one of the most recognized NFTs in Ethereum, noteworthy as it is the only CryptoPunk with 7 attributes.

The new NFT lending platform GONDI facilitated this on-chain loan, reportedly with a term of six months and an interest rate of 20%.

Refik Anadol's "Inner Portrait" exhibition opens in Istanbul

Renowned Turkish-American artist Refik Anadol showcased his latest work at the Atatürk Cultural Center in Istanbul from November 28 to December 1.

"Inner Portrait" is a collaboration with Turkish Airlines, tracking four individuals embarking on new adventures, exploring the cognitive impacts of travel. Anadol is known for his AI-driven visual installations, using large projections to capture travelers' neural responses to the beautiful scenery and new experiences around them, creating this exhibition.

Adidas launches NFT series physical products for the first time

Adidas and blockchain fitness app STEPN GO launched a limited edition physical shoe collection on MOOAR, featuring 12,000 pairs of limited edition STEPN GO x adidas Ultraboost 5 sneakers available through a raffle, also offered to STEPN Genesis NFT holders, with the collection debuting in April 2024.

The sneaker raffle will take place from December 13 to December 17, with the draw divided into four rounds, and STEPN Genesis NFT holders will receive priority.

A representative from STEPN GO told OpenSea: 'We will provide more opportunities for participation through contests on X and two ALTS raffles exclusive to the adidas and STEPN Apps communities.'

Winners can claim their shoes from January 6 to January 22, with the collection including four co-branded styles, and colors will be randomly assigned to winners for an exciting surprise.

Animoca Brands supports Igloo Inc.

Web3 venture studio Animoca Brands announced a strategic investment in Igloo Inc., the parent company of Pudgy Penguins, which develops tools for simplifying blockchain gaming applications, currently focusing on Ethereum's Layer 2 network Abstract.

According to a press release, Animoca Brands' subsidiary The Sandbox and Animoca Brands Japan are also involved in the investment agreement, stating that they are 'confident in the growth potential of Pudgy Penguins.'
