Niceaunties brings surreal art to L’Oréal Paris for longevity and beauty event
Singaporean artist and Auntieverse creator Niceaunties made her debut at the L'Oréal Paris headquarters as part of a private event themed around longevity and beauty.
The iconic Auntie character appears in a new installation that features a mix of recent and earlier works, all centered around themes of transformation, beauty, and everyday humor.
One piece created specifically for the event is a lifelike sculpture created in collaboration with prosthetic artist Valter Adam Casotto and his partner Martine. The duo is known for their lifelike makeup techniques, and the sculpture includes playful details such as green spinach on the teeth, adding a lifelike approachability to the exhibition.
Pudgy Penguins Partners with NASCAR as Penguin Wars Releases and Walgreens Expands
On June 11, Pudgy Penguins announced a new partnership with NASCAR that will introduce their penguin characters to racing fans around the world.
The brand’s momentum continues with the launch of the much-anticipated mobile game (Penguin Wars) on June 18. The upcoming game marks a fun and defining step forward for the brand in interactive entertainment, as well as another recent retail milestone: the chubby penguin toys are now available in 2,000 Walgreens stores across the United States.
The brand is owned by Igloo Inc and continues to build on its success as one of the most successful commercial entity product lines in web3.
Stripe acquires crypto identity startup Privy
Global payments company Stripe has acquired Privy, a privacy-focused crypto wallet startup that helps developers onboard users to blockchain applications.
Privy, known for building secure login and wallet-linking tools, said the company will continue to support developers building on the crypto track, now with the additional resources and infrastructure provided by Stripe.
Both companies share a common vision of connecting cryptocurrency and traditional finance to improve the way value flows online.
Yuga Labs proposes to replace ApeCoin DAO with a new governing entity, ApeCo
Yuga Labs, the company behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club, has proposed shutting down the ApeCoin DAO and replacing it with a new professionally operated entity called ApeCo.
CEO Greg Solano said the current decentralized governance model of community voting by token holders has slowed progress and funded too many “vanity proposals and low-impact initiatives.”
ApeCo will be controlled by Yuga Labs and aims to support the company’s flagship projects, including ApeChain and Otherside, with a faster and more focused strategy.
Most community members reportedly support the move, but some remain concerned about how the transition will be handled.
(Flappy Bird) plans to restart web3 and launch on-chain rewards
The Flappy Bird Foundation has confirmed that the 2014 hit mobile game will return to the cryptocurrency space, this time using on-chain infrastructure.
While the previous Telegram release has ended, the foundation now says it will continue building on web3, hinting at a global gaming brand that combines intellectual property (IP) licensing with competitive gameplay and blockchain rewards.
Fans will still be able to play the non-crypto version of the game through the Epic Games Store, as the team says the upcoming web3 rollout will still be optional.

Coindesk and Proof of Talk select the top 50 women in Web3 and AI
CoinDesk, in partnership with Paris Web Summit Proof of Talk, has released its inaugural Women in Web3 and AI list, which spotlights 50 influential women leading the cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence sectors, selected from more than 300 nominees by a diverse panel of experts.
The winners were selected for their innovation, influence, and leadership in technology, policy, business, and ethics, and include Anthropic co-founder Daniela Amodei, Coinbase president and former LinkedIn vice president Emilie Choi, Trust Wallet CEO Eowyn Chen, and Stanford AI researcher Fei-Fei Li, among others.

Sony launches Soneium gaming incubator
Sony Block Solutions Lab, the team behind Sony’s layer-2 (L2) blockchain Soneium, has announced the launch of a new developer incubator focused on gaming and consumer applications.
The initiative, called Soneium For All, is backed by early investor Sony Innovation Fund and built in partnership with Japanese smart contract platform Astar Network and cloud infrastructure provider Startale Cloud Services.
The program uses the Optimism OP Stack, an Ethereum-compatible toolkit, to help creators build applications for Soneium’s 7 million-user blockchain.
The incubator is scheduled to open in the third quarter and will focus on helping web2 developers enter the blockchain space.
