Trader Willy Woo reflected on market trends and the behavior of altcoins in what he calls this third alt cycle. This cycle, Woo claims, is marked by the emergence of meme coins, "a mockery of the cryptocurrency space."
Unlike the previous cycle, which Woo linked to the emergence of decentralized finance (defi), he believes that this time, "there is no pretense that it is trying to become a world-changing breakthrough technology, it's just an honest bubble casino."
However, he stated that altcoin seasons may continue to occur in the future, but with less intensity than before. "I think retail will be able to understand that. And usually, you have to try 3 times to learn something," he concluded.
