On October 26, 2024, in the city of Kunming in southwest China, the Puppies&Marvin Chinese community held a stray dog rescue event. The story of a dog owner begins: Jia Jie is a dog lover from China. She has been rescuing stray dogs for over 17 years. When she was young, a friend gave her a dog to help take care of, which sparked her strong interest in dogs. She initially raised over 70 adorable dogs in downtown Kunming, some of which were given by friends and others were abandoned by others. However, keeping dogs in the city center led to complaints from others due to environmental and noise pollution. Under such circumstances, she moved several times with her dogs, and her family and friends did not understand her. She persevered, and currently, there are over 500 stray dogs at the rescue base. The base is currently only able to raise very limited funds each month. We hope everyone can share this to let more dog lovers know about Marvin and his charitable actions.
