Striking price rise for meme-themed cryptocurrencies
The past hours have witnessed significant fluctuations in the cryptocurrency market, as some major digital currencies recorded significant losses, including popular meme coins such as:
Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB).
Meanwhile, cat meme-themed cryptocurrencies have emerged as some of the few winners, with some hitting record highs.
POPCAT and MEW Tokens Set New Record Highs:
Popcat (POPCAT) and Cat in a Dogs World (MEW) tokens have hit all-time highs, with POPCAT reaching $1.67 and MEW reaching $0.0105.
In addition to the two coins, several other coins with a cat meme theme have been introduced, such as:
Mog Coin (MOG) and Michi (MICHI) and Maneki (MANEKI)
Huge increases over the past 24 hours.
Most of these coins are linked to the Solana network, which in turn has seen a 5% daily and 14% weekly rise, with SOL trading near $175.
This rise coincides with an increase in trading volume on the network, which exceeded $2.6 billion on October 24, a level not seen since August.
The total value locked (TVL) on Solana also rose to a 34-month high of over $6.5 billion.
