Yesterday, Bitwise only filed in Delaware, but today it has officially submitted its application to the SEC to apply for the first XRP ETF in the US. This is a bold move, making Bitwise a pioneer in the XRP ETF race.
Previously, Bitwise has been successful with Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, but the path with XRP is still uncertain. The SEC has withdrawn Solana ETF applications due to concerns about the legal status, making the possibility of approving an XRP ETF still challenging.
However, Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley is still very confident: “XRP is a familiar asset to mainstream investors and we believe it is a better opportunity for customers than Solana.”
