Shaanxi Province cracks down on digital currency fraud, 4 suspects arrested!
According to the latest reports, Shaanxi provincial authorities recently uncovered a high-profile digital currency fraud case. Despite the cryptocurrency ban in the region, the fraud still poses a threat to investors.
On July 16, the victim Wang (pseudonym) reported a loss of up to 410,000 yuan (about 56,800 US dollars) to the police. He was lured by the scammers to invest in a fake cryptocurrency scheme through a so-called "system loophole", but ended up with nothing.
The Shaanxi Provincial Criminal Investigation Bureau quickly took action and, after a series of "meticulous" investigations and data analysis, successfully arrested four suspects on July 23 and 25. They are Zhai and Li from Zhengzhou City, and Wang and Li from Kaifeng City, Henan Province.
