The survey pointed out that women in the crypto industry generally have more work experience and tend to be in mid-level to senior positions, with a higher proportion of women with more than five years of experience. Even after taking experience into account, women still earn more than men, which may be because they have overcome more obstacles in the industry and demonstrated greater resilience and ability.
In addition, some other theories, such as men earn less than women or women are more risk-averse, are inconsistent with the survey data.
This phenomenon may indicate that the crypto industry provides more opportunities for women, showing the potential of this emerging field in terms of gender equality.
