1. Has programming really been "solved"?
In May 2026, at the AI Ascent summit, Boris Cherny, the creator of Claude Code, shared his current status:
"Since around October or November last year, the model has been able to write 100% of my code. Since entering 2026, I haven't written a single line of code myself."
This statement sparked a huge reaction in the developer community, with many expressing: programming problems have truly been resolved.
But upon closer inspection, there’s an overlooked issue: he’s using Claude Pro, which costs $25 a month, and requires a VPN.
